2024: You were good to us.
2024: One for the books….
As we wrapped up another successful year for Bijou Buckers, we can't help but reflect on all the hard work and dedication that had gone into making 2024 what it was. It was a wild ride, and somewhat of a blur if we are honest, but so rewarding. 2024 started off with two bull riding schools, giving young cowboys and cowgirls the opportunity to learn from the best and hone their skills in the arena. They watched films, had classroom time and got on as many bulls as they could. It is a great way to start the season.
In addition to our bull riding schools, we participated in a total of 20 rodeos throughout the year, including some local rodeos as well as several out of state rodeos.
We also had the privilege of particitating in two finals. The IMBA in Ogden was in September. The organization gave over $100,000 in CASH to the kids! Those young guns had no idea how much they earned haha! We spent a lof of time adventuring around and learning in the wild, just how we like it. We also had a lot of fun having a German reporter there filming our Bijou Buckers and parents. In Decemeber, Shug and I went to Vegas for the Jr NFR. We had rodeos daily and were able to squeeze in some fun too. Seeing Ian Munsick and going to the NFR were our highlights.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the many hours spent gathering and hauling bulls, attending vet appointments, and maintaining our trailers and trucks. It's a labor of love, but one that we wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
Thank you to all our family and friends who have helped out every year, but espically this year. From picking us up on the side of the road, getting in bulls, helping weld trailers back together and so much more. We know without a shadow of a doubt it’s becuase of the support we have that allows the Bijou Buckers community to be what it is!
